These terms describe the use of HexColourFinder. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

Using the service

HexColourFinder is a free tool for sampling image colours, finding approximate colour names and creating palettes. Use it lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt the website, bypass its safeguards or interfere with other users.

Your images and rights

You retain your rights in the images you use. You are responsible for having permission to use those images and any material you create from them. Using this tool does not grant rights to someone else’s image, trademark or other content.

Colour accuracy

Colour names are approximate matches. Display settings, image profiles, transparency and printing can affect the appearance of a colour. Verify results independently where accurate reproduction or accessibility compliance matters. The contrast checker evaluates the entered colour pair, not the accessibility of an entire design.

Local storage and downloads

Saved palettes are stored in your browser, not in an account. Clearing browser data, using another device or losing access to that browser can remove them. Download important palettes to keep a separate copy. See the Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

Availability and responsibility

The service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses resulting from unavailable service, inaccurate results or loss of locally stored data. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
