Start with a colour you love.
Choose a base, a relationship, and a palette size. Generate a combination, lock the shades you want to keep, then generate again. You can edit every HEX code and opacity value by hand.
Try a botanical palette
Start with the muted green #63856B and choose Analogous for neighbouring hues. Use Monochromatic for a quieter set of light and dark greens. Check text contrast before using any pair for labels or navigation.
Useful answers
How are the colours generated?
The generator uses hue relationships and variations in saturation and lightness. Analogous colours use nearby hues; complementary colours use opposite hues; triadic colours use three evenly spaced hues; monochromatic colours share a hue. No AI service or server is involved.
What does locking a colour do?
A locked colour keeps its value and position when you generate again. You can still edit it manually or move it. Unlock it before removing it or reducing the palette past its position.
Can I use colours from my image?
Yes. In the image picker, choose Edit palette to send the extracted colours here. You can also open palettes already saved in this browser. Image files are not transferred or saved.
Which downloads are available?
Download a PNG with names and HEX labels, CSS custom properties, or JSON colour data. Copy all HEX puts the codes on your clipboard. Named palettes are saved only in this browser; lock settings are kept for the current editing session.
