Use Dark Red in CSS

Copy this background and text pairing into your stylesheet.

.colour-dark-red {
  background-color: #8B0000;
  color: #FFFFFF;
}

Use the HEX value for a consistent digital reference. Descriptive colour names can vary between collections and are not always valid CSS keywords. This code does not identify a paint, fabric or print specification.

Using Dark Red

Try it for a small call-to-action or a highlight in a presentation. Pair colour with a label when communicating an error or warning.

This pairing uses #FFFFFF text on #8B0000. Results apply to solid colours; recheck contrast if you add transparency, imagery or effects.
